Superwash Merino sock yarn, DK weight, 400 yards - PERCY
This yarn is part of our "Shakespeare" series of handpainted sock yarns, each named for a character in a Shakespeare play. This is a pair of skeins that have been dyed together. Each pair is a one-of-a-kind, never-to-be-repeated dyeing.
Percy is a historical figure who appears in Richard II and Henry IV parts 1 & 2.
This yarn is shades of green, sage and chartreuse.
You will receive two skeins of 200 yards each, totaling 400 yards of 4-ply tightly spun DK weight 100% Superwash Merino sock yarn. The wool, grown in South America, is low-micron, next-to-the-skin soft and knits into a very soft, dense fabric that is machine washable. I have dyed this in very short color increments in two-yard repeats to minimize any deep and wide pools (see sample picture). A size 6 needle is recommended. This yarn is manufactured by Cherry Tree Hill Yarn, and hand painted here at Edgewood Garden Studios.
