Wool and beadwork necklace, purple
Wear something distinctive, unique, and stunning! When this pandemic is over and we are heading out the door again, what better than to wear a dazzling one-of-a-kind necklace to show off to the world. This striking necklace is made from wool locks, beadwork, and hand-crocheted trim. We buy the Cotswold fleece directly from the shepherdess NancyWolfTree in New Hampshire, then scour and hand-dye it. The wool locks are individually felted onto a wool strip then attached to the beaded ornament. The collar is lined for comfort and has a button closure.
Modeled by our good (and socially distanced) distanced friend, Janice. Special thanks to Ute Monjau-Porath of Imaginess Wearable Art (http://imaginess.net) for assistance with construction.
Covid-19 has increased food insecurity across the country. Here’s a small way to help with the effort to feed people in need - $50 of the purchase price will be donated to Feeding America to help fight hunger.
Feeding America is a United States-based nonprofit organization with a nationwide network of 200 food banks and 60,000 food pantries and meal programs. Charity Navigator gives them a 4 out of 4 star rating (94.28 overall score). According to Feeding America, they provide 4.3 billion meals each year. A $1 donation equals 10 meals. That means that by buying this necklace you will pay for 500 meals!
