This listing is for 2-ply wool pencil roving from Imperial Yarn. This is unspun wool that is intended for hand spinning and felting. It has a soft hand and should be acceptable for next-to-the-skin use.

Adventurous knitters can try knitting it directly. It lends itself to light and lofty projects. It is very fragile, however, and you should unwind the length you are working on to avoid tugging or pulling the fiber, which can cause it to break.  It can also be used in combination with sturdier yarns for greater strength in the finished item.
