Scottish 1/16 Wool Weaving Yarn Tube - Honey Mustard

$26.00

Quantity Available:     1 only

This cone is unlabeled, so we don't know the exact details, but it is a vintage Scottish, woolen-spun weaving yarn from the mid-20th century. It has noticeable slubs. The wool is softer and less hairy than the tweed wools, but not as soft as lambswool.  It appears to be a 1/16 count yarn. The cone weighs 9.7 ounces, and is probably more or less full. It is estimated to be 1500 yards.

The color is similar to the modern shade called Honey Mustard.

This is a classic mid-fine wool yarn produced by Scottish mills in the mid-20th century.
