Organic Polwarth Wool Roving - Lucky Break 1 - 4.1 ounces

$14.35 USD

This roving is shades of green, chartreuse, blue and peach.

Polwarth is an under-used fleece, it’s soft and spongy, dyes beautifully, spins fluffy and feels cuddly. This organic Polwarth was selected from two family farms on the Falkland Islands. The sheep are not subject to mulesing, and they are not dipped for pesticides. The flocks are managed so that the grazing capacity of their pastures is not exceeded. This fiber has a 22 micron diameter and about 5" staple length. We have dyed this roving with our standard chemical dyes.

My rovings are dyed with fairly even distribution of colors. Photos are of each side of the coil, so you can see as much of the color as possible. These are the same rovings from which I spin my yarns, so I dye them for that.
