Wool and beadwork necklace, blue
Wear something distinctive, unique, and stunning! When this pandemic is over and we are heading out the door again, what better than to wear a dazzling one-of-a-kind necklace to show off to the world. This striking necklace is made from wool locks and beadwork. We buy the Cotswold fleece directly from the shepherdess NancyWolfTree in New Hampshire, then scour and hand-dye it. The wool locks are individually felted onto a wool strip then attached to the beaded ornament. The collar is lined for comfort and has a button closure.
Modeled by our good (and socially distanced) distanced friend, Janice. Special thanks to Ute Monjau-Porath of Imaginess Wearable Art (http://imaginess.net) for assistance with construction.
Covid-19 has increased food insecurity across the country. Here’s a small way to help with the effort to feed people in need - $50 of the purchase price will be donated to Feeding America to help fight hunger.
Feeding America is a United States-based nonprofit organization with a nationwide network of 200 food banks and 60,000 food pantries and meal programs. Charity Navigator gives them a 4 out of 4 star rating (94.28 overall score). According to Feeding America, they provide 4.3 billion meals each year. A $1 donation equals 10 meals. That means that by buying this necklace you will pay for 500 meals!
