$24.60 USD

Quantity Available:     1 only

This one-of-a-kind roving is shades of purple, red, orange and gold.

This is a hand painted roving for spinning.

This is a super-soft blend of 60% 21.5 micron Merino wool with 20% Tibetan yak and 20% cultivated silk. It has a natural silver gray color which overdyes beautifully and spins easily. Yak is a luxury fiber that is prized for its exceptional warmth and softness. This has a 2-3 inch staple and 19.5 micron diameter fiber.

Our rovings are dyed with fairly even distribution of colors. Photos are of each side of the coil, so you can see as much of the color as possible. These are the same rovings from which I spin my yarns, so I dye them for that.

We name our braids based on the inspirations we get from the colors, drawing on nature, literature, mythology, geography, and our lives and travels.  Braids with the same name numbered sequentially are a matched set that were dyed together, although they may have different weights and look slightly different in the photos.
