Dixie Yarns was a mainstay of the American textile industry through much of the 20th century. They were known for high-quality cotton yarn. This one is a 10/2 combed, mercerized cotton, dyed a color called Pink Mist. The cone weighs 15.5 ounces, and is estimated to be about 2,800 yards. The dye used was a reactive dye, so the color should be stable over time and through washes. It is dated April 1991.
