Fairloom was a Sears, Roebuck house brand for yarn, from the latter part of the 20th century. It succeeded an earlier house brand called Hearthside. This cone is marked "Fairloom, formerly Hearthside". It is a fine white mercerized cotton thread put up in a 1-pound cone, holding 6,000 yards.

The labeling suggests this particular cone dates to the early 1970s. There is some slight soiling on the outermost layer of the cone, which is hardly surprising for a white yarn that is more than 50 years old. It shouldn't affect the interior.
