The base yarn is called Kent, It is a soft, fine grade 56s 2-ply yarn spun worsted style from Australian wool. The strand diameter is probably about 24 microns. The cone weighs about 25 ounces, and is estimated to hold about 3,300 yards. The color is an orange shade called papaya.

This yarn should work well for both warp and weft, and is suitable for fine garments, among other uses.
