This vintage cone of thread from the Gardiner Hall Jr. Co. is at least 60 years old. It was originally intended for use with industrial sewing machines, but can serve a variety of uses. Despite its age, it is still quite strong. It is a 3-ply strand of mercerized cotton, with lots of sheen. The original color was green, but it has faded with age to a gold. There is some slight soiling on the exterior in one spot, but it will not have penetrated the interior. The cone weighs 11 ounces and is listed as 6,000 yards.
