This is a set of two tubes of vintage Scottish wool weaving yarn, sold together. One cone is 7.6 oz and one is 7.7 oz, totaling 15.3 oz, for an estimated 2,800 yards. 

This woolen-spun yarn differs from our other Scottish tweed yarns in that it is smooth, soft and not hairy. The count appears to be about 1/20. This is likely made from lambswool, not Cheviot or the hill breeds used for the tweed yarn.

This is a classic fine wool yarn produced by Scottish mills in the mid-20th century.
