This is an unlabeled cone of very fine linen. We estimate that it is 40/2 count. It probably dates from the 1960s. At this age, linen becomes brittle, and this cone shows several loose ends. It has also been rewrapped at least a couple of times by the previous owner. 

GIven its fragility, it is not suitable for use as warp, but can still readily be used for weft. 

This cone weighs a hefty 22.8 ounces.  The estimated yardage is 5,800. The color is natural beige with a bit of a gold tinge.
