This cone has no identifying marks. It is a coarse, hairy black wool in a somewhat loose 2-ply, on a cardboard cone. It is sold black in color. It wraps at about 18wpi, and appears to be worsted weight. This is a large, 2-pound cone. It is possible that it came from Pendleton Mills. It should work well as a weft in many weaving projects. A rough estimate is that the spool holds 2,200 yards.
